There may be ways to run some versions of OS/2 after tweaking VMware in various unsupported way, but that is pointless because there are better solutions available. Virtual PC Now Virtual PC is a completely different story. In VPC 2007, OS/2 Warp 4 FP15 and Convenience Pack 1 and 2 are officially supported guest operating systems. Installation Now create a new virtual machine, pick a name for it, and choose 'IBM OS/2' as the Operating System and 'OS/2 Warp 4' as the version. System requirements are pretty trivial by today's standards, the 64 MB of RAM and 2GB hard disk defaults are more than plenty. OS/2 was the absolute best OS back in the day (as far as I'm concerned) and being a nostalgic (and sometimes bored) idiot, I decided to pull out my Warp 4 CDs and see if I could install it in Parallels. Subject: OS/2 Warp 4 in VMware -I'm getting conflicting information regarding running OS/2 Warp 4 in - VMware. Some sources say it's possible while others say it's not.Can anyone please let me know if they are running Warp 4 in VMware an - it's working out for them? I am looking to run Warp 4.52 under VMware - 6.5. I never got the OS/2 Warp 4 install to work in QEMU, but I'm most of the way through it in VMware Player, albeit very, very, very slowly. Here's a few pics (there's more over at my Flickr of course).
